What is this?

MTGX is the "friendly" Magic the Gathering league here at MaintainX.

Over the course of a couple of months, you'll challenge your colleagues with a deck that
you'll build from 6 packs of random cards distributed to you at the beginning of the season.

Then, a randomly generated tournament bracket will be made public. Players will now be able
to play "best of three" matches against their associated opponents.

How much does it cost?

Registering to the current MTGX season will cost you a flat fee of 32$. After that, you will receive 6 packs (containing 15 cards each), from which you will build a deck of at least 40 cards.

In the registration form, you'll also have the opportunity to buy the following recommended items for an extra fee:

  • Deck box: Useful to carry your deck around (6$)
  • Card sleeves: Plastic sheets to individually protect your cards (16$)

New players, look over here!

Learning Magic might seem like a daunting task, but the "sealed" format we're playing is perfect for getting onboarded. Since you can only build your deck from the 90 cards (6 packs) you were given at the beginning, you don't have to worry about learning all the other cards out there.

We're also always looking for new players to come learn and play with us. You'll be surrounded by all kind of players with different experience. We also put up the following pages to help you get started with Magic!
